You mean after you ran make && make install ?
If the changes are about code that is run through kdeinit you should re-run 
kdeinit from a konsole to force kdeinit to reload the libs. If you refer to a 
standalone app, just run it ;-)

Or do you mean how to put the code in CVS?

Please explain if this wasn't the answer you wanted.
