afaik the previews for 64x64 are still "large" previews as you din't
change code concerning the previews as far as I remember.

Compared to the method in KDE 2.1.x now files are being stored in $HOME
which haven't been created there before due to the lack of
write-permission in certian folders (like /usr e.g.).
In any case 200 MB is too much imo and there should be a mechanism which
limits the amount of memory being reserved for thumbnails down to a
userdefinable limit.
