No, that wasn't the reported problem. It does save your history setting (if 
it's enabled and how long it is). What Simon reported was that when you start 
a new session from within the same konsole window, the new session has 
history turned off. This is now fixed.

My first patch had this possibility : you could choose to have either 
log-file based history (what we used to have), memory-based (limited in size) 
or no history at all. Right now it's file-based, limited in size, but you can 
specify really large sizes without wasting memory.

It would be very easy to add the log-file kind now, but the problem is that 
you need to let the user specify the name of the logfile, and I don't know of 
a convenient way to do that (we probably don't want to link konsole with 
libkfile).
