I thought we wre only talking about executables that do not have the 'x' bit 
set because they were just downloaded?

The box was just the GUI version of chmod +x if I understood everything 
correctly. After that the file has a proper 'x' bit and thus the dialog won't 
be shown again anyway for that file.
