Subject:    bad bug in recent cvs code wrt kicker && ksplash

There seems to be some sort of race in CVS right now.  If I click on an icon 
on kicker before ksplash disappears, they both freeze and I have to kill the 
X server.  I don't recall this ever being the case before.
