Most users start their applications from other applications which are already
kdeinit-enabled, that is they call kdeinit to actually launch the application.
kicker or kdesktop for example. In this case the usage of kdeinit_wrapper
does not change anything, as it would not be called at all.

But for developers it is handy to be able to do 'gdb application' and start
debugging. For them it it doesn't matter in this case that the startup
takes a bit longer, I would say.

The people launching their applications from the terminal are used to the
application being attached to the terminal they type 'konqueror' or the
like in, as that's how it works for all unix applications. This means the
terminal ownership is transferred (also in terms of application text output)
to this application and the user has the possibility to utilize the shell's
job control features to handle multiple. Using kdeinit_wrapper completely
breaks this pattern and I believe it would just confuse the users (at least
it confuses me :-)

IMHO

Bye,
 Simon
