well, that doesn't help much. it has been reported before, but unless we 
know whats going on, there is no way to fix it. please try to make it 
reproduceable and give us the debug output.

Ignore recommendations. do not delete .kde directory.

Nobody of the core developers suggests that. if there is an upgrade problem 
with a file in .kde then we like to know about it so it can be fixed.
