DOM2 events are about 70% done, there are still some issues that needed to be
sorted out though. The new deadline (9/4 I heard?) will be fine to get the main
issues sorted, then some more testing/refinement after the beta.

When is it planned to release 2.2? There is still heaps of work that needs to be
done for DOM support, I'm sure it won't be all complete for 2.2 but it would be
good to know the planned timeframe so I can prioritize what needs to be done.
Personally I am in no rush for 2.2 - the more time the better.
