I know html in mail isn't a good thing, but what about a html mail as the 
welcome mail.

This has advantages of 1. showing that kmail can handle html mail in a good 
way.  2. letting us make the welcome mail look more delicious and more in 
tone with the about:konqueror and the new kcontrol picture..
