I fixed that, too.

However, I'm not sure if that is right. Linuxers of course will have
XFree86 3.x.x and 4.x.x, but what is with the Sun people? Maybe not
everybody is using XFree86 but other X-Windows implementations.

I've got the idea that the different keycodes are due to X11R5/X11R6
changes because of according namings in the xterm.terminfo file. That
file contains entries named "xterm-r5" and "xfree-r6" and in XFree86
4.0.1 (and 4.0.2) the "xterm" is equal to the "xfree-r6".

Not sure. When I first notices that the keycodes didn't worked, I tried
all the other keyboard schemes in the "Settings" menu. No one was
really working satisfactorial, so in the end I thought I clear the
situation.

However, I am well away that the current situation isn't really that
clear. So tomorrow morning I will see into this list and if there are
enought people here than I will revert it.

However, I guess that those distros that make packages with KDE 2.1
(e.g. the next SuSE or Redhat or Mandrake or whatever) will usually
have XFree 4.x.x included. So I guess it is better that konsole now by
defaults works ok with that version of X and that users of an older
XFree86 will have to make one change and use "Save settings" once.

Have a nice night, :-)
Holger
