True, but not all apps can beneffit from it in that case.

My point was just that e.g. KWrite needed a way to check for duplicates 
_OUTSIDE_ the file dialog in my earlier patch. Agreed, such situations are 
rare, but they do exist. I guess there are more apps with the same problem. 

Using netaccess does the job, but I'm not sure if the check (may) take too 
long on slow connections. And the alternative signal/slot method is a lot of 
work to setup for such a small check. I thought of a way to check in a small 
time frame of at most a second, but still in a single-call fashion as 
KIO::netaccess does. Anyway, for now the issue doesn't matter at all, as it 
is certainly post-2.1 work.

Oh... Ooops. Should read the docs more carefully , hadn't noticed :-)
