I also have this feeling.

I actually wondered if apps.kde.org could auto-submit it's entries into 
Freshmeat. I get the daily freshmeat mail and I read more on Gnome-Apps 
than on KDE apps ...   no one (the authors?!?) bothers to submit the 
apps.
