My suggestion is to use a wrapper function. res_gethostbyname should
not be used directly. Neither should gethostbyname, for that matter.

What I suggest NOW is not to touch that unless it's a problem. That
should be fixed when the socket stuff I'm writing is finished.

kdecore/ksock.cpp using res_init is broken anyways and it's #ifdef'ed
out (#ifdef INET6, which no one should ever set)

BTW, I'm sorry KExtendedSocket is taking so long.
