Certainly he meant 2.1 as KDE 2.0.1 won't contain any new stuff except for

a) bugfixes
b) icons & documentation

The KDE 2.1 branch will *very probably* be closed in four weeks for 
any new code (#include <mosfet.h>). From thereon only bugfixes will be 
allowed.
