  And not to mention that there might be commercial programs which
wouldn't be happy with their names commoditized. And even free application
writers would surely opt for having the name visible, like "Magellan
mailer" etc. 

  On the other hand, at least for some applications like Keystone and Kit
or KWin4 we MUST provide an descriptive extension, as there is no way
somebody can find them out what they mean, and there is a strong chance
that users will go out surfing the net to download a VNC client maybe
never finding out that there is on the machine. 

  Maybe at least we need to provide tips with these less known
applications?
