Sorry, but who came up with this completely idiotic
versioning-scheme?

Why not coming up with something *SIMPLE*

I mean: Right NOW if you look into newsgroups
you'll discover that people talk about

KDE 1.2, KDE 1.2.1, KDE 1.1.2 and Kde 2.1.1

when they just want to talk about their problems
with KDE 1.1.2 -- this of course has got a 
reason.
