Subject: kcontrol bug: can't move/rename the Settings menu

The KDE-1 bug is still there, and even more annoying.

If you move or rename the Settings menu in the K menu,
kcontrol stops working. A grep for "Settings" in kcontrol/kcontrol
shows an awful result: this is hardcoded it too many places.

This is not a small bug. Some distributions (you know which one
I'm talking about :) like to rearrange the K menu. Currently they
can rename everything, except Settings, because of this bug.

Can kcontrol use ksycoca and kservice instead of parsing files
by itself ? This would allow (with a KTrader query) to avoid being
dependent on the location of the items in the K menu.

This is just one suggestion. KControl hackers, please comment
on this solution, and on other possible solutions.

Thanks,
David.
