I'm not too happy with the openpty() call. This is the ancient *BSD interface. The right way to do this is to use the UNIX98 getpt() call. Garbanzo: you added the openpty(). Does your OS have getpt()? And what about /dev/ptmx? If it doesn't, I guess we can use openpty(), but only if getpt() is not present. Also, there are some bugs in the openpty() code which Michael correctly noticed. PS: I'm a little of touch with KDE development. I should post patches to kde-core-devel before committing them, right?
