I don't know if this hase been reported before, but I have some issues with the
bug reporting system provided by Dr. Konqi.

Lately, when I compile from CVS, kicker has been dying at startup and I get the
dialog box asking if I want to report a bug. I configured the email setup
correctly for my configuration and clicked on the "OK" button to (hoepfully)
save it. That was done using the buttons in the send bug report window. I added
a subject and a note to explain what I was doing when the backtrace was
generated. I then sent the mail.

However, a few seconds later, I received an email at my console, which I
thought should have been impossible, since I'm not running sendmail or anything
like that, I guess I need to check my set up again. This email said that there
were DNS errors trying to resolve the address kde2test@casanova.mis.net.

Well, you never should have been resolving that address, 'cause its a bogus
one. I have DSL and the setup requires me to use bogus internal names.

The problem is, that I changed the mail configuration to send the real address,
but Dr. Konqi (or whatever sends the mail) ignored that configuration change
and tried sending the message with my local machine and my local user account
anyway.

I think it actually used my local sendmail, which is why I got a reply.

Oh never mind, this is probably an issue with sendmail, however, it would be
nice if we could use SMTP in that dialog. Some of us have some rather bizarre
setups on our systems.
