For your information:

When you want to run KUniqueApplication's from the debugger you need to 
specify the "--nofork" option since forking usually confuses the hell out of 
your debugger :-]

KUniqueApplication has now improved support for the "--nofork" option.
An application started with "--nofork" will now behave the same as one 
started without this option. Up till today the "newInstance()" function in 
the KUniqueApplication was not called when you started an application with 
"--nofork". Now it is.

This should make the debugging of KUniqueApplications easier.
