I tried 'artsplay /opt/kde2/share/sounds/pop.wav' again with the logging on.
The result is:
UnixManager: got notifyIO
socketconnection created, fd = 5
Play '/opt/kde2/share/sounds/pop.wav'!
loaded wav /opt/kde2/share/sounds/pop.wav
sample format: 401, sample width: 16
channelCount: 1
Audio File Library: error 5: Unix read failed
Up from now after repeating the same command there was still no noise but now
the output is:
UnixManager: got notifyIO
socketconnection created, fd = 5
Play '/opt/kde2/share/sounds/pop.wav'!
----------------------
After that I tried 'cat /opt/kde2/share/sounds/pop.wav | artscat' and the
output is:
findPort(outdata)
have 1 ports
done
result42
connect port outdata to indata
connected an asyncnetsend
EOF
warning: leaving MCOP Dispatcher and still 3 object references alive.
- Arts::FlowSystemSender
- Arts::ByteSoundProducer
warning: leaving MCOP Dispatcher and still 38 types alive.
And the output of artsd is:
UnixManager: got notifyIO
socketconnection created, fd = 5
Attach ByteSoundProducer!
creating packet receiver
Detach ByteSoundProducer!
client disconnected: dropped one object reference
converter (for stream) finished
And after a while this additionally appears but still no noise can be heard:
_referenceClean: found unused object marked by _copyRemote => releasing
And later appears:
Synth_PLAY: streamEnd() called.
SynthGenericPlay: closing audio fd
[artsd] suspend
Ctrl+C of artsd outputs this:
warning: leaving MCOP Dispatcher and still 2 object references alive.
- Arts::FlowSystemReceiver
warning: leaving MCOP Dispatcher and still 16 types alive.
Maybe this helps.
Many thanks + Bye
F@lk
