Surprise, surprise, things turned out to be much more work than expected :(
The version on my disk starts to look good, unfortunately it currently breaks
all existing kwin modules, including kwin itself.  I'll continue work tomorrow
since I don't want to commit before it's actually usable and we ported kdesktop
and kicker plus its modules to the new API.
