I've got a question regarding CVS and multiple different systems.
My LAN consists of one Alpha, one Intel (actually two of them but that
doesn't matter here) und probably a PPC in a couple of weeks.
Obviously, I wouldn't like to do a "cvs update" on each box (my LAN's
connection is a modem).

If I tar my cvs directory and ftp it over to the other boxes I have
to do a "make distclean" or something to get rid of all object files
because I'm dealing with different architectures here.
That would mean every make would be build from scratch. That's not
exactly what I'm after. ;-)

Is there solution other than set up a local CVS mirror on my LAN?
How do you guys (those who have got boxes with different architectures)
deal with this?

Uwe
