fine with me. Another thing: why don't the handles use the same drawing
routine as KToolBar? It's quite the same functionality, so IMHO it should
look the same as well.

And while I'm at it: the new layouting stuff in kicker surely is very nice
and flexible, BUTHH [TM by Kalle, IIRC]
the previous behavior had this nice feature, that you could resize the
taskbar easily. I often have many many terminals (ok, this has reduced
by konsole's ultracool internal taskbar) and a lot of netscapes, and a
while ago, I could simply enlargen the taskbar by putting it on top of the
buttons. Now this isn't possible anymore, because there is no "layering".

Possible solutions to many tasks are IMHO:
- open an "external" taskbar which can resize independently from kicker's
  appletarea
- the ability to group taskbar-items together, e.g. put all netscapes into
  one taskbar-button, with a context-menu to access the individual items
