No.

You still need to search the PATH in addition to find the
binary.

But if somebody meanwhile moved the binary, you won't find
it ...

It is usually possible with tricks, but they are then platform
dependant, as Roberto said.

Taking argv[0] and searching in PATH is the best bet I would
say.
