Subject: Compilation and linking problems on Solaris 2.6

Hello,

im compiling the current KDE2.0, on my Solaris 2.6 machine on a regular basis,
but since a week or so I get errors related to "hstrerror".
The latest one looks like that:

kapp.cpp: In function `char * hstrerror(int)':
kapp.cpp:1189: new declaration `char * hstrerror(int)'
/usr/include/netdb.h:227: ambiguates old declaration `const char * hstrerror(int)'

Additionally I'm getting link errors:
libkdecore.so: undefined reference to 'hstrerror'

I chased it down and found that hstrerror is in libc.so on LINUX and in
libresolv on SOLARIS which is currently not included while linking.

I'm using KDE1.1 on my system, and like it very much, an looking forward to
get 2.0 as soon as possible, because it is much faster than KDE1.1.

I think with this information you might be able to
fix that issue pretty quickly. I would very much appreciate, being able to
work with 2.0 again. I'm also willing to do some testing on Solaris for 2.0.

Thanks,

  Christian
