Hello,

due to the last changes in KFileDialog I was remembered that I wanted to
implement URL-based file handling for a long time :-) Good idea.

I think it will be a general problem: Is there already a convenient way to open
and save file locally no matter where they ared stored in the network? 

Or the other way round: What is the most convenient way to do it that is
already implemented?
