Hello,
may I mention the kthreads package somewhere on ftp.kde.org I announced some days
ago? It already encapsulates POSIX threads and mutexes. Would save some time to use
it.
The main goal should be to be able to thread-safely insert events in the event loop,
so the main thread (the first one started, using main) will handle the whole GUI.
I contacted Matthias E. about it, but somehow our correspondence sleeped away.
See upload.kde.org/kde/Incoming/kdethreads.tar.gz.
Greetings,
--Mirko (who finally managed to keep his machine up and working after some hardware
crashs).
