I think, we should do it the way we had in KDE-1.x. Just use an url with
protocol man: and info:, like:
	man://gcc
	info://gcc

I like it very much. As David said, we avoid duplicated code this way,
and maintaining duplicated code is always a mess (think of kmail/krn in
kde-1.x).

Sounds already quite good to me.

I'd say we should go that way, and perhaps provide a small script, to
start konqueror in khelpcenter mode.
