Hi!

I have a question about kdesktop.

There is the KBgndManager class which paints the desktop background. This
class is derived from QWidget and is WType_Desktop, and set as topWidget.
But, this is not the widget that the background is painted on. That's the
KDesktop class, which is derived from QIconView. Is there a reason that I
don't see, why KBgndManager inherits QWidget, and why it is WType_Desktop
and toplevel? My (new and improved) KBackgroundManager works fine when
derived from QObject: it's no widget at all.

Greetings,
