Ad. 1 : Compiling everything
---------------------
The mix in the date representation have caused, that I got yesterday ( 10/10 )
the whole Qt from CVS.
Is there a big difference between Qt from 9/10 , or it is ok to leave 10/10
snapshot ( maybe only do some little changes ) ?
I tried to compile it : Qt library compiles ok, but mergetr and other apps
that link with qt produce a lot of similar warnings :
make[1]: Entering directory `/home/matt/src/qt-2.1.x/src/util/mergetr'
g++ -L/home/matt/src/qt/lib -L/usr/X11R6/lib -o mergetr mergetr.o -lqt -lXext -lX11 -lm
/home/matt/src/qt/lib/libqt.so: undefined reference to `QVariant::setValue(QFont const &)'
/home/matt/src/qt/lib/libqt.so: undefined reference to `QDomNode::namedItem(QString const &) const'
/home/matt/src/qt/lib/libqt.so: undefined reference to `QVariant::intValue(void) const'
I don't care about mergetr, but I couldn't pass through QWSpriteField in
kdesupport :
make[2]: Entering directory `/home/matt/src/kde/cvs-current/kdesupport/QwSpriteField'
/bin/sh ../libtool --silent --mode=compile g++ -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I.. -I/usr/local/qt-2.0/include
-D_GNU_SOURCE -O2 -c QwSpriteField.cpp

Ad. 2 : Thinking new
---------------
Due to recent changes in development, I would be happy if somebody would sum up
how these changes affect development.
What code / libraries ( kom, parts, partsui, kded ) are dropped / replaced and
what should be done to update existing apps ?
How about .desktop files & CORBA entries ?
In regard to Caitoo ( acts like a Konqueror event filter ), what changes are
needed ? ( Simon ? )
Best Regards
Matt
