I get a similar error without "sm":

g++ -c -I/opt/qt-public-cvs/include -I/usr/X11R6/include -pipe -O2 -fPIC
-DQT_BUILTIN_GIF_READER  -I/opt/qt-public-cvs/src/3rdparty/zlib
-I/opt/qt-public-cvs/src/3rdparty/libpng  -o widgets/qiconview.o
widgets/qiconview.cpp
In file included from widgets/qiconview.cpp:4130:
widgets/qiconview.moc:57: new declaration `static void
QIconViewItemLineEdit::staticMetaObject()'
widgets/qiconview.cpp:166: ambiguates old declaration `static class
QMetaObject
* QIconViewItemLineEdit::staticMetaObject()'
make[1]: *** [widgets/qiconview.o] Error 1
