Sorry for the offtopic mail.
This is really crucial thing to me, because I got some mail and I want to
convert it to a readable format ( mail is mostly from kde-devel and caitoo
users, so it's not so offtopic request :-) ).

I am sure that some of you did a conversion like this and have a script ready.

1.  I have one file that contains all messages ( mbox ? ).
    However I am missing an index file. How to parse this file and create an
    index file ?

2.  I have many messages ( one file per message ).
    I can put them into one file ( cat would probably help ), but again I need
    an index file.
