What about a different scheme: concentrating on just kdelibs. Perhaps
declaring it a beta early, maybe end of december.

That way application developers have a firmer basis on which to develop
stable applications.

So, there would be a KDE 2.0 beta which would be only kdelibs, and kdebase
(or perhaps only pieces of kdebase) would follow as they improve.

I know it's a bit radical a change, so feel free to dismiss it ;-)
