Errrmmm... how is that please different from opting out of the compositor?
Except that latter does not only hit Qt applications but also *every*  
"legacy" stuff around?

Or by making user code color correction calls  
(QApplication::setColorSpec(int spec)?) invalidate/override library  
settings?
