I have the following in my .gitconfig, and it seems to work just fine:

[url "git://anongit.kde.org/"]
    insteadOf = kde:

[url "git@git.kde.org:"]
    pushInsteadOf = kde:

[url "git@git.kde.org:"]
    pushInsteadOf = git://anongit.kde.org/
