It's only semi-related, but I'd be interested in the plans and likelihood f= or CSS3=20 and HTML5 support in KHTML, because that will be critical in the future and= might=20 make the problem we currently have in KDE worse.=20 The problem being that many users are having problems with Konqueror becaus= e it=20 doesn't support some sites that are critical to them. This problem is not s= olved by=20 just switching to webkit, we also need to fix our SSL, see the bug cloud ar= ound=20 162485. On top of that, we're having problems keeping up with the speed the= "APIs" of=20 the web are evolving, not unique to KDE, but likely a reason why many other= s opt for=20 pooling resources in shared technology such as webkit.=20 A webbrowser that works for sites users care about is really just the basel= ine, it=20 doesn't give KDE an edge in any way regarding web experience, something we = would like=20 to change with Project Silk. (I know, we're behind on communication on that= as well,=20 I hope that improves the coming weeks now that 4.4 is out.) =2D-=20 sebas http://www.kde.org | http://vizZzion.org | GPG Key ID: 9119 0EF9=20 --nextPart66688646.ohOxQXm8gi Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (GNU/Linux) iQEcBAABAgAGBQJLgZrLAAoJEGdNh9WRGQ75UHUIAOVWSFyS2vQ4d8ANwgL2/0uQ evoRfkj/0A3BjCwHRievSffLikv5t13IBrHQ7cnqXmBffNSeYIvsqYBz9IhuLx6u E0H8tHcQm9wME4i3qo/HfkDee2tfWKXE3IR1rkGqpeGb7pP5Cazu4396SfMMEt51 xPZdVt64xZG4vwRqIfItRRcWFJt6sxR3r/+3hk/IykTak30kLQ5FySI0W+AncfOm j3mEHuDHHUFk4dIQSDTO8SBI7WQwpFNbBwtw8MFpGHZAgLORmnFizVbJXqyj2s5t IZgr4i/KDv/a/MFqCpY6IMpoW8RayEUC43vrjUN1Yo48okJJLuXsgd5UmlCVbR0= =uML7 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --nextPart66688646.ohOxQXm8gi--
