That would be ideal, but it wouldn't be easy the NOMAD catalog doesn't
include some key information about stars: star names and HD numbers,
spectral types, and binarity/multiplicity flags.  So I need to do a
positional match between the bright NOMAD stars and our existing star
catalog to merge in these data for the bright stars.

For the same reason, streaming in chunks of the NOMAD data would not
be practical.
