It also happens without=20 compositing (although apparently slightly less often). Basically I cannot f= ind=20 a way to work around it, and it's quite annoying (lots of trivial actions s= uch=20 as switching tabs in konsole make the screen go black and lockup the whole= =20 machine for 10 or more seconds. It's simply unworkable. Tried upgrading nvi= dia=20 drivers to latest stable, to no avail. I'm pretty close to just going over to the hardware dealer to buy a non-nvi= dia=20 graphics card and be able to use that machine again without banging my head= =20 against the wall within minutes. We should probably make nvidia people awar= e=20 of this problem and ask if they can find a solution. Does anyone have=20 contacts? Specs: NVidia 7600GS, twinview, latest drivers, Ubuntu gutsy and hardy,=20 2.6.24. I've had the problem for some time now, so earlier version of both,= =20 OS, kernel and nvidia drivers expose this problem. =2D-=20 sebas http://www.kde.org | http://vizZzion.org | GPG Key ID: 9119 0EF9=20 --nextPart3120756.yioYHuYczF Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iQEVAwUASFD0lmdNh9WRGQ75AQIhnwgAwGmrJI50aaLSNqT4qQgJeJiZWNrwYf6B huLchgazJ8vJ1ZhvwzWZevrQIZVq98QMgY57pnwhsfLVqHQRY5ihQim1S7IjjH5U O1T9H3dcInsH9OiECPghQw8LMsl9ftDXbhQ8Qvj8mlqcKg/tNL5NEbSpJIgcQ+kz WbfiOVW8GTjm3qtA7h4HyvV72D3xcaxHsNK2QMvEt1YIcGp+kv+zLRBgsRsCmC/K vb5djXveq72sX+pdjWv38NmIp2uMB2hKvm9c/rEpFdVbokKss9EebmrZTfRCTi9T rBCRwiZaUUWrV3B8bYAcGjXhMDvl/xCrUFUddW7LH1gMot2lgnzdeA== =HkYT -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --nextPart3120756.yioYHuYczF--
