Please don't, either write a simple C++ wrapper or keep it in C.
Adding another dependency, esp. one that IMHO does wrap in C++ but
fails to reduce the complexity, should be avoided.

the lack of redirect information forced me to drop gnome-vfs and
rewrite everything using libcurl.
