1. BC is not really broken because the Q_INTERFACE version was changed. Well, 
of course that means that a qobject_cast now returns 0 for code compiled 
against the old header.

2. If I don't change this we'll have two unused functions in there. It 
wouldn't be too bad, but I don't think we have to keep them because:

3. This interface is only used by backends. Currently there's only one backend 
that's getting released and that's the one in kdebase/runtime. As libs and 
runtime go together I don't see much of a problem.
