What a pity I only read this mail after my own posting; I agree with Germain 100% here (from the mostly OK-ish habit adjustment, which is not very seamless anymore if you work with KDE 3 here, and KDE 4 there, to the mouse traveling after deciding for a different action), and I think he gives very good reasons for his observations.
