I've got my toolbar fonts set to 8pt since I came to KDE (around 3.2, and I've 
been doing text-under-icons long before KDE 4). Given a correctly configured 
X server (DPI matching your screen) and a not too impaired eyesight (or 
wearing glasses, like me), 8pt is definitely the ideal font size for the 
toolbars.

So, +1 from me.
