I guess Kicker & KDesktop as of > KDE 3.5.8 are in the best state, As Aaron just pointed out on IRC, kicker+kdesktop are not that much better than plasma applets. A small simple icon moved on my kde3 desktop makes kdesktop go beyond 10% and X11 go to something like 30% cpu usage. > Is there no alternative?
