The problem is that the development cycle of KMail is not the same as the release \
cycle of KDE. For more details, look at the mail from Till in the archives of the \
release team mailinglist. It's unfair to block the KDE release for half a year \
because of KMail.

The KDE3 version of KMail is still being worked on (in a separate branch for now) and \
can be used until there is a 4 version ready.
