They were asking for an=20 official area where they could develop their applications. And there were=20 technical arguments in my other email (point #2: scripty, EBN and=20 Coverity). Setting up a playground area is easy. But the users of that area must be=20 aware that it may be erased and reset at any time -- just like=20 svn.kde.org was before we did the final switch. =46or one thing, I think it would be interesting to have git.kde.org and=20 hg.kde.org[1] with the history for a couple of modules, just so that we=20 can play with the tools and learn them. And also to find the conversion=20 mistakes and help the tools' developers in fixing their bugs -- like we=20 did to Subversion. That's a playground area. [1] Here you can see my preferences for Mercurial and Git. =2D-=20 =A0 Thiago Macieira =A0- =A0thiago (AT) macieira.info - thiago (AT) kde.org =A0 =A0 PGP/GPG: 0x6EF45358; fingerprint: =A0 =A0 E067 918B B660 DBD1 105C =A0966C 33F5 F005 6EF4 5358 --nextPart1501085.EeLQBaJovm Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.7 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQBGl25OM/XwBW70U1gRArnfAJ9fgbCzKCxzPwYdoJBgsixetIVr0gCdGTD/ 414d1pSAueRc+Rw3RHhVD0s= =hUCe -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --nextPart1501085.EeLQBaJovm--
