I 100% agree with you. Converting KDE to git today would be near suicide. Sorry I wasn't clear enough. What I am advocating is that we setup the git web so that new apps or maintainer of apps can give it a shot and even migrate if they found it positive. The app/lib maintainers can slowly try git out and even possibly migrate things out of KDE if it makes sense for them. As they do that we can figure out how to get stuff like translations etc to work. If the Amarok dudes decided to unlease the power of git on their project I say power to them. They have a strong team and could probably really utilize it. Having a KDE gitweb provides a common place for us to place our git depots and is just step 1 in 100. -Benjamin Meyer
