And as I said: I am OK with this > approach, if the usability team is fine with it. I would still like to see the accessibility-specific settings in=20 systemsettings. What about providing the four high contrast schemes in=20 section "Accessibility"? I think when visually impaired people probe KDE,=20 they'll rather look for high contrast settings in systemsettings than=20 searching in an extra application. the appearance modules arent a full=20 subsitute for the high contrast themes. > Are there any other modules that need to be addressed separately if > kcontrol is dropped? > > > It is a lot more then just a a simple frontend to a > > settings file, it could let you download, install, configure, create, > > modify and share themes. Benjamin, are you actually planning to work on this soon? I'm two-fold: I=20 think the current appearance modules are pretty complex, but at the same ti= me=20 i don't think the theme module should be the major appearance module. If yo= u=20 got time to work on it, we could sit down together and think how to improve= =20 it. /el =2D-=20 Ellen Reitmayr KDE Usability Project usability.kde.org --nextPart3270905.qSzujGuYXK Content-Type: application/pgp-signature -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQBGdr7O2mIgQiX+cvcRArnUAJ0WiVeExboy+8EEn+ce10pEi5j8eQCdGL3Z S1MYJAw7I+4uwk7NMKwd1GU= =BcEd -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --nextPart3270905.qSzujGuYXK--
