It's still got its share of big problems. It's a simple carbon-copy of OS X= =20 preferences app -- without the only really useful bit of the origial, the=20 feature where you can drag often used control panel icons onto a bar. And i= ts=20 layout management is definitely not good enough; it wastes oodles of screen= =20 space, especially if you open it after having used a big control panel last= =20 time. The tile bars under icons show really weird word breaks (User -=20 Managemen - t on my system). And after years of claiming that having ordina= ry=20 and advanced buttons wasn't a solution, that's just what system settings=20 provides. Not that I oppose your proposal; it's just that I think that if anything,=20 system settings is not in any way beyond mediocre. But then, KControl,=20 although not such a blatant clone of somebody else's work, isn't really=20 better. =2D-=20 Boudewijn Rempt=20 http://www.valdyas.org/fading/index.cgi --nextPart1785066.oI7OZdbWa0 Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQBGcboPdaCcgCmN5d8RAsVcAKC2cxBKYbQUXL4fc7Yy4o6o24q3ugCgwct/ Q7xP7bh3cK1GMR7Ts/hEqEo= =w40x -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --nextPart1785066.oI7OZdbWa0--
