Mmmh, taken a look at KDE's control panel recently ? Or most KDE's config panels, actually. Just a couple hours ago, I looked at the one for akregator. There's a combo which lets you select which archive backend you want. It only has two choices : 'metakit', or 'no archive'. > The devil is in the details.
